At Plate Prep, our story begins in the heart of a family-run restaurant. Ava Foy grew up watching her parents pour their passion into their culinary business, operating three bustling locations. While the family legacy of delicious, home-cooked meals was thriving, behind the scenes, challenges loomed large.

Ava witnessed her parents struggle with maintaining consistency across their diverse menu offerings. With each chef bringing their own flair to beloved recipes, the risk of variation grew, resulting in an inconsistent dining experience for loyal customers. To make matters worse, turnover among kitchen staff posed even greater challenges as chefs often left with the treasured secrets of family recipes, leaving the remaining team uncertain about how to recreate those popular dishes.

Driven by a desire to help her family preserve their culinary traditions and enhance their operations, Ava tapped into her entrepreneurial spirit. She envisioned a solution—a comprehensive digital menu platform that would not only standardize recipes across all locations but also serve as an invaluable resource for training new staff, ensuring that every dish met the same high standards her family was known for.
